just because i'm paranoid..... doesn't mean they WON'T someday own and publish my info, right?
or am i just plain paranoid?
10 years from now, some politician gets elected thanks to Google money and gets legislation through that declares that abandoned data (like older than, say, 10 years) becomes the rightful property of the holder, in this case Google.

That is another reason I don't do text messages.

Online data storage is relatively safe. I wouldn't however use it to store evidence or financial records.

I heard something about a machine that can recreate shredded documents and a plan to use it on shredded documents from East Germany.

Maybe some sort of future totalitarian world government will seize your data and hold you resonsible for any wrongful views you expressed in it.
