just move this Q. to the lounge.  I am tired of ALWAYS having to butt heads with you when I respond to experts here. It is like an ex-waterstreet wet dream...

Anybody up for a game of scrabble?

And you wonder why I avoid the Lounge at TOS anymore?

Getting much better. Almost done with big bottle of antibiotics and have been exercising more to sweat the bad stuffs out.

How do you play Scrabble here?

From: Send Carobit Mail shekerra On: 2007/09/12 19:42:43

I don't have time to pretend to play scrabble - am trying to find some answers on a Georgia O'Keeffe oil painting that I recently acquired.

Did you try the Antiques Roadshow site?

From: Send Carobit Mail shekerra On: 2007/09/17 12:43:48
ok - I did not get banished, maybe next year...
I found out that it is a print coral <sigh>

I'll have to hit some antique shops that are more remote (like upstate Vermont.)

Sounds like a plan.   : ))

Try garage sales and estate sales, I have found some fairly valuable stuff cheap at those. The trick seems to be getting there early and then finding someone who will buy the stuff from you.

I am wondering if there is a book that gives estimated pricing - I recently picked up some stuff that looks old (like silver) but haven't a clue if it has any value.

There are books on old bottles and some specific collectibles but I dunno if there are ones with general old stuffs listed or not.
