anything of any note is now in www.wikipedia.org, or is it?

I searched for Eve Pollard, former controversial uk tabloid editor and mother of minor celebrity Claudia Winkleman, and she isn't there.

What's the most famous person/thing that isn't in wikipedia?

ps, if you search for carobit, then you get a link to Experts-Exchange

I thought you were taking the piss. But no.

The coverage of Australian Aboriginal Artists is somewhat limited. The majority of those listed on the page http://en.wikip.../wiki/List_of_Australian_artists do not have their own entry and many reasonably well known artists, represented in major galleries worldwide, such as Gracie Morton Pwerle, Kathleen Petyarre and Ada Bird are not mentioned at all.

Too obscure?

... consider, for example, the relative global importance of Michael Nelson Tjakamarra, Aboriginal artist who designed the forecourt of the Australian Parliament Building ( http://www.aaia.com.au/michael.htm ), but who has no entry in Wikipedia and Michael Nelson, central defender for Hartlepool United, who warrants an entire career biography in Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Nelson )

I've found another top band not listed 'Booty Luv', performers of 'Boogie 2 nite', are not in there.

Steven, you must realise that knocking up a rough draft for a patio isn't as important as playing professional football in the North East of England, the hotbed of world football.

The lad Nelson is also a literary genius, how else could he come out with the unique and stirring sentiment '"We shouldn't be saying every week how unlucky we have been; we had chances and should have scored".

I understand that when he's not thumping Forest strikers he's also pretty nifty with the creosote brush, making him no slouch in the Tommy Walsh stakes himself.

... and whilst we're on the topic of Geordie legends, I am horrified to discover that famous fat bastard, Jimmy "Five Bellies" Gardner, is completely unrepresented in wikipedia, not even as a footnote on the Paul Gascoigne page. Surely the most glaring omission imaginable?

I'll create a 'stub' stating that he is Gazza's mate - I can't think of much else about him, did he get beaten up once?  Could be worth a few lines.

I believe he also once ate a cat poo pie, courtesy of a rib tickling Gazza prank, surely worth a mention.

Did I win?

From: Send Carobit Mail Hooligan On: 2006/12/12 05:28:34
do we still have winners?  How do you give points - yes you won though.

From: Send Carobit Mail Pino Carafa On: 2006/12/12 05:35:41
No such thing as "points" here.

So long as I won that's OK.
