Almost. Seems it is still a crapshoot if it will work on "your" system.
Some like it. Some can't get rid of it fast enough.

I know the beta sucked.
Like Coral said some love it and it works great on their machines, others it is like installing a P2P and weatherbug on their machines. Slows them to a crawl and is buggy. But I have seen the same with FireFox 2.

Using FireFox 2 right now and it's grand. IE7 also installed, so far no serious problems apart from crap done to one or two of my VB6 projects that used WebBrowser controls. But that shouldn't bother ordinary users.

I tend to think that if your machine is relatively stable and secure, neither IE 7 or FF 2 will hurt it, unless you surf porn and gamble online incessantly.

Does installing IE7 qualify as "gambling"?

Giving some people a computer counts as gambling.
Online gambling is a different story, it takes a special kind of stupid to hand over your bank info to a computer and then ask it if you won.
