The evolution of war can be viewed by the change in "The Front" WW1 was trench war. Very rigid, well defined lines of demarcation. WW2 was a bit more fluid. Might not be signs on the ground, but usually visible as a line on a map. WW3 is the war between the US/GB and "Da Terrorists". Not only are physical /geographical terms hard to apply to the boundries, its even hard to define the enemy other than by their actions/intentions. They fight in the very heart of our cities, and often live with us.
