Why learn dutch???

Had my dad on the phone the other day. He left holland some lightyears ago. I left holland some 27 years ago. We weren't able to communicate in dutch.
We ended up with a mixture of english, german, french and magyar.

I know Pino maintains a level of dutch, but he's got the excuse of knowing people over there.
