all i can find is crap, and sites for free "non-commercial" use. i intend to use them for an advertising brochure. i was hoping someone knew of a good site that doesn't say that. the problem is that this isn't for me, it's for a customer. so i'm really restricted about what rules i can break. thanks, Sandi. i'll look harder.

I think Microsoft bought out Corbis corporation and makes much of their image library royalty-free.

Bit of PhotoShopping out of the background, job's a good'un. (FWIW I almost exclusively use Paint.NET. It's absolutely fantastic and very easy to use, even for a doofus like me)

ug, all these have watermarks, and they want credits for them. i'm fresh out of credits. doesn't anyone give anything away for free anymore?
