I can't believe it but it seems that this is impossible?

I've got Outlook up and running with a few different e-mail accounts on it. So what I'd like to do is this: if I send an e-mail to joebloggs@somewhere.com, I want it to automatically pick Account 1 for sending the e-mail. If I send an e-mail to janedoe@elsewhere.com I want it to pick Account 2.

Obviously if I start sending e-mails to multiple people of different sets I guess it'll just have to use the default account, but what gives? There seems to be no way it can do this.

Can it? If not, why not? And if not, is there an e-mail client out there that is current and that DOES let you do exactly that?!

1- From within outlook press ctrl+alt+S
2- Click New.
3- Name the new Send/Receive group, and click OK.
4- Accounts - click an account > select 'Include the
selected account in this group check box
5- Account Options> select the options you want.
6- Folder Options - select the check box beside each folder that you want to include in the group.

Ok. That's interesting and handy to know, but it's not what I'm asking for.

Let me explain again. I own two e-mail addresses. Say they are:

myFirstAddress@carobit.com
and
mySecondAddress@carobit.com

And say I have shekerra in my contacts list: shekerra@notcarobit.com, and also stone5150: stone5150@notcarobit.com

Ok. Now. When I sent an e-mail toshekerra@notcarobit.com, I want outlook to automatically pick the first account, so when shekerra gets my e-mail it will say it's From myFirstAddress@carobit.com

And similarly, when I send an e-mail to stone, I want it to be From mySecondAddress@carobit.com

Yes, I KNOW I can choose the account when I send the e-mail, but I want Outlook to do it automatically, so I don't have to think about it and, more importantly, I can't make a mistake.

I doubt Outlook can do it, although there are always add-ons.
OE definitely won't do it.

Thunderbird doesn't do it out of the box, but this add-on seems relevant:

I can't think straight - I'm all strung out from financial pressure right now.

I'll write such a client for twenty quid. I shall call it "SpamKing".

Please to be sending monies to shekerra@notcarobit.com
