All the othe supposed predecessors to homo sapiens didn't die off. All of them survived, sort of. They weren't that different than today, they fucked anything that looked remotely like them and thru breeding became somewhat similar, but slightly different. That neatly explains the different races of humans, but it is not the least bit Politically Correct. The racist morons and the equally stupid victim type 'minorities' do not like to hear that at all.

BTW the widely accepted idea that homo sapiens were smarter than the others can be shown to be false.

Sidebar - Minority is a misnomer, taken globally or even broken down to local populations, those traditionally called minorities are quite frequently a majority.

Yeah, modern man came from 1 person, that is why we all look alike.

The Germanic tribes look vaguely like cromagnon, the Eastern European look vaguely like neanderthals, Africans look vaguely like 'Lucy', ... etc.

I am not alone in this theory. Since the civil right orginally started it has been supressed. No need to give the hardcore racists any more fuel for their hate. You also have to remember that all the ideas about human evolution are theories only. As much as some would have you believe otherwise, no one knows for sure.
