The Internet "works well in many situations but was designed for completely different assumptions," said Dipankar Raychaudhuri, a Rutgers University professor overseeing three clean-slate projects. "It's sort of a miracle that it continues to work well today."

It is probably a good idea. It is not like they are just going to shut it down for a few years til they get the bugs worked out on the new system.

Excellent idea. In preparation, I have already dismantled my websites and scrapped my email addresses. When the new Internet is ready, please contact me at PO BOX 9771, FRESNO, CA 93794
Thanks a bunch!

It's more than the net that needs to be rebuilt. The whole concept of computer use and communication needs to be reconsidered. The whole computer gestalt should be considered as a squirrel...no,a pine tree or grapefruit. Yah, a grapefruit. Sort of yellow and dimply on the outside and pink and squishy on the inside. Or is that life?
The point is, will it deliver pr0n more efficiently?

Yes, you may MVTYPO faster or more conveniently than ever with the new protocols.
The current ones are about maxxed now, the new stuff in the pipeline will make DSL and cable look like 14.4K dialup.

IPv6 was to stave off the IP addy crisis. The internets are bogged down with old routers that only support limited protocols. That and hes' porn addiction.
