This kitten came walking up the driveway the other day and made friedns. She was very friendly so I thought she probably was a pet. I put an ad in the paper and on the radio, no one responded so I guess she is mine. I should have guess in the way she adopted us.

Get her fixed, or toss her on the barbie.  Trust me...

Nice useful comment.

This is the sort of bullshit I'd expect from the noobs at TOS.

Such high praise. I am honored.

BTW: I have 5 kittens up for grabs. If you know anybody interested...

I didn't plan on getting another cat, but this one pretty much adopted me. I have had several people offer me kittens lately, but I won't even go look at them. I will get her fixed when she is old enough, I would guess her age at about 8 or 9 weeks old. She is pretty tiny.

I would post a pic but the upload thing is broken.

It wouldn't be so bad if they would stay that age.

Sooooo cute, and fun to watch.   : )

If you train them properly it ain't so bad. I got a 12 yo that will come and tell me if anything is wrong. She will narc on the kids when they are up to no good. One time she came and meowed at me and ran toward the door several times til I got up and followed here. Someone had crammed waaay too much into washing amchine and it was spilling water onto floor.

Awwwww!  That's how I ended up with my pregnant cat, Amaya.  She was so underfed when I got her and within a week or so she suddenly grew fat and I knew I was in trouble.  I was lucky and she only had one female out of 5 kittens so they were easy to give away.  She tells me when her food or water bowl needs refilling or the litter needs changing.

I have always prefered female cats, they have a better tempermant than males. You do have to have them fixed unless you want a bunch of males hanging about spraying things and making noise and then kittens to have to give away. I don't like having to give them away, it is a hassle and I am never certian about some of the people that come for them. There are some sick bastards out there.

Mine all went to close friends and family so I wasn't fussed about it.  Both my older kids took one and the ex took one and my youngest daughter's boyfriend took one along with his cousin.  My problem is I get attached to the damned things too easily.  grin

Yeah, I agree about female cats.  I have two of them, although when they were younger they did strip my wallpaper (I didn't like it anyway!).

I also keep them inside, which I somtimes feel guilty about, until I read things like this:

I had one asshole come by and wanted to take the 3 kittens I had left. They made up some crap about one for each kid. The kid came and said "Lizzo will have fun with those" I asked who lizzo was and the kid said it was their pet snake. I took the kittens away from the guy and shoved his ass out the door and off the porch. Had there not been so many witnesses I would have beat the shit outta him too.

Mine stay inside too. There are alot of sick fucks out there. Also a lot of people don't realize that squirrel crap looks pretty much identical to cat crap ad always blame the nieghborhood cats for the mess. I have had several cats in the past that would come inside to use the litter box then go right back out.

>> when they were younger they did strip my wallpaper...

Doesn't take them long, either.

>> that would come inside to use the litter box then go right back out...

I feel better. At least I know I am not alone, now.
