FWIW, just saw this yesterday and thought I'd pass it around to you crazy kids.

Apparently the 'B0'-stepped Pentium D 805 has the best overclocking potential since the good ol' Celeron 300A.

It currently retails for around £80 (er, about $130, I think) yet is capable of outperforming the Pentium 965 Extreme Edition (which costs well over ten times as much).

Full details are available here:

You got shares in AMD or summit? [wink]

I've bought a new AMD based PC from Komplett, and then I stuck a new Mobo, power, AMD processor and memory into my old PC and gave it to the in-laws. So.... summit.... grin

Hey, me too ( http://h20195.w...cid=0900a5a580d448b6&cc=uk&lc=en - cheap as chips & bang for the buck). I was just trying to be a l33t h4x0r, that's all. No need to piss on my chips (no pun intended) [grin]

Still on that AMD? :D

I like LukeW also wonder, Pino -are you still prefering AMD!?!

My intrest always hower in raw game performance and overclockability.
At the moment and looking 1.5years back... it's hard to go with anything but Intel.
I'm on my second Core2Duo cpu. It's 2.6G running at 3.73G for everyday use and 3.93G for benching... The first C2D is already a hand-me-down that trickles down to the family.
